There is a new product from the national weather service that will help you get a feel for how choppy the waters are. They enhance the recreational forecasts for both Lake Tahoe weather and Pyramid Lake weather. They not only give recreational weather forecasts, for the first time they are giving wave height forecasts for both Lake Tahoe and Pyramid Lake.

They are going to be relying on Lake Tahoe Coast Guard, local Sheriff’s office, and the Pyramid Lake Fisheries personnel to help, as well as boater’s reports. You can find this information at:
