This just in, Coldwell Banker Village Realty has been bought by the Select Group out of the Greater Sacramento area.  The company is owned by Daniel C. Jacuzzi.  They are based in Yuba City California and own many real estate companies operating under ERA, Century 21 and Coldwell Banker.

They have bought not only ours but also some Century 21 real estate offices in Reno and Tahoe -Truckee area as well.

This is how I understand it so far but I may have some of the names, verbiage etc. a little off as our meeting was cut short by a fire alarm:

 The new company is going to called Coldwell Banker Select Group Real Estate Reno Nv.  The Incline Village Coldwell Banker Real Estate office will be called Coldwell Banker Incline Village Realty, a member of the Select Group.  They are dropping the Century 21 name for the time being.

They will bring about some much needed Web 2.0 technology and marketing that Reno and Tahoe have never experienced.  This is going to up the ante for tech mavens like Chase International and dethrone Dickson Realty’s self proclaimed stronghold on Reno and their subdivision monopoly.

This comes about as our previous owner Tom Clydesdale has not only been dealing with the downturn in the market, loss of Agents and business in general but just after recovering from a stroke and NOW fighting cancer.  Tom Clydesdale is a real junkyard dog when it comes to surviving be it in real estate or life.  My parent’s and myself have seen this man work his way up from an Agent in Incline Village Nv. to growing the biggest real estate office’s in Northern Nevada. 

Tom, we all wish you the best in life and business and we are all praying and wishing for your quick recovery.  You have been the best boss/owner/mentor and Agent could wish for, you will be missed.
