Lakeridge Shores is an area that appears to be a low foreclosure area which I am advising Buyers to take a good look at if they like established vegetation and a Frank Lloyd Wright type of vibe. The idea is to stay in established areas for preservation of value as they tend to have more equity in these type of areas and not “new money” that sprung up with the Reno real estate boom a few years ago.
If you’re searching for a Reno luxury custom home in a prestigious area, I suggest you look at the gated and guarded, unknown “gem” community of Lakeridge Shores in Southwest Reno. It is not far from Caughlin Ranch and our Coldwell Banker Select Group Reno Real Estate office. Built in the hills surrounding Lake Stanley, the centerpiece of this development, the homes have various views of the lake, the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, Lakeridge Golf Course, the city of Reno and nearby Valleys.
Lake Stanley is primarily fed from Steamboat ditch with 409 acre feet of water rights owned by the association. The lake attracts ducks, geese, eagles, frogs, ferrets, mink, marmots, quail, and raccoons. The private and secluded location is the huge amentity here as Lakeridge Shores is within a five mile radius of the airport, schools, parks, recreational areas, downtown, major shopping malls, theaters, casinos, sport center, great restaurants and major medical facilities. Established in 1971, the $500,000 to $6,500,000 homes enjoy 53 acres of common area that include greenbelt, beach, picnic area, lake, marina, tennis courts, walking paths, and 3 ½ miles of private roadways. Enjoy the serenity of canoeing, paddle boating, sailing, fishing and outdoor dining all inside this complex.
The caveat trying to get in is they actually enforce the gate pretty hard (no Miss America parade wave here) and you may need me to ride shotgun to get in, I would be happy to oblige.
Here is my cheesy u tube video, don’t laugh too hard; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bv5oALPkdM&feature=email
