The Tahoe and worldwide mountain sports community just lost one of the best writer’s and genuine nice guys we ever had. Robert Frolich’s writing style would put you vicariously there with the person or place he was describing and it truly was transfixing and surreal. He never said anything bad about anybody in print or in person. Some people referred to him as the Hunter S. Thompson of Tahoe. In fact, Hunter had a quote that is similar to Fro’s lifestyle; The person who doesn’t scatter the morning dew will not comb gray hairs.

If you have never been to the Reno Italian Festival; it is a classic and actually a taste of Italy and other areas. How it works is that you buy your pasta for a few bucks and then go sample sauces, breads, wines and other Italian delights. If you are still recovering from spending a lot of money at the overpriced small portions at the Reno-Sparks Rib Festival, this will be a welcome change and you will leave packed like a tick.
